Electrochemical Signal Distributor
Multiplexed signal-distribution board for routing electrochemical measurement signals across multiple biosensor chip channels in cyclic voltammetry-related workflows.
Problem
Biosensing experiments often require interrogating multiple chip channels sequentially or in parallel. Manually swapping physical connections between channels during a measurement run is slow, introduces connection variability, and limits the number of channels that can be practically tested in a session.
The goal was a distribution board that could route a single electrochemical signal source to multiple chip channels under software or hardware control, enabling sequential multi-channel measurements within a single automated run.
System overview
The board accepts a single input signal from the measurement instrument (potentiostat or custom signal source) and routes it to one of N output channels through a multiplexer network. Channel selection is controlled via digital inputs from the automation controller.
Full technical detail to be added as design is finalized.
Current status
PCB design is in progress in KiCad. Schematic complete; layout underway. First prototype expected for fabrication and bring-up in the next lab cycle.
